GE ZHAI

Born and raised in China, Ge Zhai is a film editor currently based in Los Angeles. Over the past eight years, she has worked as an editor on various scripted and documentary projects, including the narrative feature Summer Knight, which won the Asian Future Best Film Award at the 2019 Tokyo International Film Festival. In 2021, the film she co-edited, Taipei Suicide Story, took both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award for narrative features at Slamdance Film Festival. Her latest editing work, Only the Moon Stands Still, premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and was selected by AFI FEST 2021 for short film competition. Zhai is passionate about bringing directors’ visions to life and making stories more powerful through editing.
